Ingredients

– 8 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 tablespoon truffle oil

– 1 cup heavy cream

– 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese

– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

– 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves, plus more for garnish

– Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste


Instructions

1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat.

2. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for 5-7 minutes, until they release their liquid and start to brown.

3. Reduce the heat to medium, add the minced garlic, and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.

4. Pour in the heavy cream and truffle oil, and stir to combine. Simmer for 3-5 minutes, until the sauce starts to thicken.

5. Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the Gruyere cheese until melted and fully incorporated.

6. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with fresh thyme leaves.
