Description

Elevate your next gathering with this sophisticated and flavorful Terrine With Herbed Goat Cheese. This elegant appetizer features layers of creamy, herbaceous goat cheese, creating a smooth and decadent texture that’s perfect for serving with crackers, crostini, or fresh vegetables.

Ingredients

– 16 ounces goat cheese, at room temperature

– 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh herbs (such as thyme, rosemary, and chives)

– 2 tablespoons heavy cream

– 1 teaspoon lemon zest

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. In a medium bowl, use a spatula to combine the goat cheese, chopped herbs, heavy cream, lemon zest, salt, and pepper until well blended.

2. Line a small loaf pan or terrine dish with plastic wrap, leaving some overhang on the sides. Spoon the goat cheese mixture into the prepared pan, smoothing the top.

3. Cover the top with the plastic wrap overhang and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or up to 3 days.

Notes

For best results, let the terrine sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes before serving to soften slightly. Garnish with additional fresh herbs, edible flowers, or a drizzle of honey for an extra special touch.
