Description

Sushi Rice Krispie Treats are a unique and delightful twist on the classic Rice Krispie Treat, infusing the flavors of sushi into a sweet, gooey dessert. Made with short-grain sushi rice, marshmallows, and topped with colorful sushi-inspired ingredients, these treats are sure to delight your taste buds.

Ingredients

– 3 cups cooked short-grain sushi rice, cooled

– 4 cups miniature marshmallows

– 3 tablespoons unsalted butter

– 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds

– 1 sheet nori, finely chopped

– 2 tablespoons pickled ginger, finely chopped

Instructions

1. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the marshmallows and stir constantly until completely melted and smooth.

2. Remove the saucepan from heat and immediately add the cooked sushi rice. Stir until the rice is evenly coated and the mixture is well combined.

3. Lightly grease an 8×8-inch baking pan. Press the sushi rice mixture evenly into the prepared pan.

4. Sprinkle the top with the toasted sesame seeds, chopped nori, and pickled ginger.

5. Allow the treats to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

For a more traditional look, you can shape the treats into rounds or triangles to resemble sushi. Experiment with different sushi-inspired toppings like diced cucumber, avocado, or even a drizzle of soy sauce or eel sauce.
