Description

Ingredients

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1/4 cup granulated sugar

– 1 teaspoon baking powder

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed

– 3/4 cup milk

– 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced

– 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

– 1/4 cup powdered sugar for dusting


Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the chilled butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

3. Gradually add the milk and stir just until a soft dough forms.

4. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough into a rectangle, approximately 12×8 inches.

5. Sprinkle the sliced strawberries evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border.

6. In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon and 2 tablespoons of the powdered sugar.

7. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the strawberries.

8. Starting from the long side, tightly roll the dough into a log. Slice the log into 12 equal pieces.

9. Arrange the rolls in a greased 9-inch baking pan or on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

10. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown.

11. Remove from the oven and dust with the remaining powdered sugar.

Notes

For a creamier texture, add a tablespoon of cream cheese to the filling. You can also substitute other berries, such as raspberries or blueberries, for the strawberries.
