Description

Indulge in the rich, creamy, and subtly spicy flavors of our Spicy Mexican Chocolate Silk Pie – a restaurant-quality dessert you can easily make at home.

Ingredients

– 12 ounces high-quality dark chocolate, chopped

– 1 cup heavy cream

– 1/2 cup whole milk

– 1/4 cup granulated sugar

– 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

– 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

– 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

– 1 pre-baked 9-inch pie crust

Instructions

1. In a medium saucepan, combine the chopped chocolate, heavy cream, milk, sugar, cinnamon, cayenne, and salt. Heat over medium, stirring occasionally, until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth, about 5-7 minutes.

2. Remove the pan from the heat and let the mixture cool slightly, about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

3. Pour the chocolate mixture into the pre-baked pie crust and smooth the top.

4. Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours or up to 2 days before serving.

Notes

For a bolder spice flavor, increase the cayenne pepper to 1/2 teaspoon. The pie can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
