Description

Indulge in the vibrant and creamy delight of Pink Bow Pasta with Vodka Sauce. This quick and easy vegetarian recipe boasts a delectable pink-hued pasta tossed in a luxurious vodka-infused sauce, making it a true showstopper on any dinner table.

Ingredients

– 1 pound pink bow-shaped pasta

– 1 tablespoon olive oil

– 1 onion, finely diced

– 3 garlic cloves, minced

– 1 cup vodka

– 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes

– 1 cup heavy cream

– 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving

– 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil, plus more for garnish

– Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pink bow pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté for 5-7 minutes until translucent.

3. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.

4. Pour in the vodka and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to cook off the alcohol.

5. Stir in the crushed tomatoes and heavy cream. Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer and let it cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.

6. Remove the sauce from heat and stir in the 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese and chopped basil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

7. Add the cooked pink bow pasta to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.

8. Serve the Pink Bow Pasta with Vodka Sauce immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves.

Notes

For a richer flavor, you can use a higher-quality vodka. To make it vegan, substitute the heavy cream with unsweetened plant-based milk and the Parmesan with a vegan alternative.
