Description

Elevate any dish with this quick and easy Nasturtium Herb Butter! The vibrant green and yellow colors of fresh nasturtium leaves and flowers add a unique, peppery twist to rich, creamy butter. Drizzle over roasted vegetables, spread on crusty bread, or use as a flavor boost for grilled meats and seafood.

Ingredients

– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 1/2 cup finely chopped fresh nasturtium leaves and flowers

– 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest

– 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt

Instructions

1. In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, chopped nasturtium leaves and flowers, lemon zest, and sea salt. Mix well until evenly incorporated.

2. Lay a piece of parchment paper or plastic wrap on a clean work surface. Scoop the herb butter onto the paper and shape into a log, about 1-inch in diameter.

3. Wrap the butter log tightly in the parchment or plastic and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

4. When ready to use, unwrap the chilled butter and slice into rounds. Serve as desired, allowing the butter to melt over warm dishes.

Notes

– For best flavor, use the freshest, most vibrant nasturtium leaves and flowers you can find.

– Try serving the Nasturtium Herb Butter on grilled fish, steak, or chicken, or use it to elevate roasted vegetables, bread, or potatoes.

– Store any leftover butter wrapped tightly in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
