Description

Indulge in the ultimate game day appetizer with this creamy, cheesy, and spicy Jalapeño Popper Football Cheese Ball. Packed with the flavors of jalapeños, bacon, and sharp cheddar, this easy-to-make treat is sure to impress your guests.

Ingredients

– 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened

– 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

– 1/2 cup diced jalapeños (about 3-4 jalapeños)

– 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

– 3 green onions, thinly sliced

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

– 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.

2. Add the shredded cheddar, diced jalapeños, crumbled bacon, sliced green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.

3. Scoop the cheese mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap and shape it into a football shape. Wrap the plastic wrap tightly around the cheese ball and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.

4. Remove the cheese ball from the refrigerator and unwrap it. Place it on a serving platter or board.

5. Serve the Jalapeño Popper Football Cheese Ball with crackers, fresh vegetables, or other desired dipping items.

Notes

For a milder flavor, you can use fewer jalapeños or omit the cayenne pepper. You can also experiment with different cheese varieties, such as pepper jack or gouda, to change up the flavor profile.
