Description

Indulge in the rich, savory flavors of Guinness Gravy Meatballs – a quick and easy comfort food recipe that’s sure to become a new family favorite.

Ingredients

– 1 lb ground beef

– 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

– 1 egg

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 onion, diced

– 1 cup Guinness stout

– 2 cups beef broth

– 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

– 2 tbsp butter

– 1 tsp dried thyme

– Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. 1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well and form into 1-inch meatballs.

2. 2. In a large skillet, brown the meatballs over medium-high heat until cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Transfer to a plate and set aside.

3. 3. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute.

4. 4. Gradually whisk in the Guinness and beef broth. Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until the gravy has thickened, about 5-7 minutes.

5. 5. Add the meatballs back to the skillet and simmer for an additional 5 minutes, or until the meatballs are heated through and the gravy is glossy and rich.

6. 6. Garnish with fresh thyme or parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For a heartier meal, serve the Guinness Gravy Meatballs over creamy mashed potatoes. You can also make the meatballs ahead of time and refrigerate or freeze them for easy reheating.
