Description
Indulge in the delectable combination of tender steak bites coated in a rich and creamy glacier blue cheese sauce. These Glacier Blue Cheese Steak Bites make a mouthwatering and crowd-pleasing appetizer that’s ready in just 10 minutes.
Ingredients
– 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 cup crumbled glacier blue cheese
– 2 tablespoons heavy cream
– 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme, plus more for garnish
– Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the steak cubes and sear on all sides until browned and cooked to your desired doneness, about 2-3 minutes per side.
3. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside. Reduce the heat to low and add the minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly, until fragrant.
4. Stir in the crumbled blue cheese and heavy cream. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth, about 2-3 minutes.
5. Return the seared steak cubes to the skillet and toss to coat in the blue cheese sauce.
6. Garnish the Glacier Blue Cheese Steak Bites with fresh thyme and serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, use a high-quality, creamy blue cheese like Gorgonzola or Roquefort. You can also adjust the amount of blue cheese to your desired level of tanginess. Leftover steak bites can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated in the microwave or oven before serving.
