Description

Indulge in the ultimate Cheese Fondue, a creamy, melty blend of cheeses that’s perfect for cozy gatherings and entertaining. Dip crusty bread, roasted vegetables, and more into this delectable, crowd-pleasing appetizer.

Ingredients

– 1 pound Gruyère cheese, grated

– 1 pound Emmentaler or Swiss cheese, grated

– 1 garlic clove, minced

– 1 cup dry white wine

– 2 tablespoons cornstarch

– 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

– 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

1. In a medium saucepan, combine the grated Gruyère and Emmentaler cheeses.

2. Add the garlic, white wine, cornstarch, nutmeg, and black pepper. Stir to combine.

3. Place the saucepan over medium-low heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the cheese is melted and the mixture is smooth and creamy, about 10-15 minutes.

4. Transfer the fondue to a fondue pot or serving dish and keep warm over a low flame or tea light.

5. Serve immediately with crusty bread cubes, roasted potatoes, fresh vegetables, and other desired dipping items.

Notes

– For a thicker fondue, add an extra 1-2 tablespoons of cornstarch.

– Try using a combination of cheese like Gruyère, Emmentaler, and Fontina for extra flavor.

– Rub the inside of the fondue pot with a garlic clove for added aroma.

– Experiment with different dipping items like apples, pears, or cured meats.
