Description

Ingredients

– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar

– 1 egg

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon baking soda

– 1/2 teaspoon salt


Instructions

1. 1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. 2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

3. 3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

4. 4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

6. 6. Scoop dough by the tablespoonful onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Notes

For chewier cookies, bake for the shorter end of the time range. For crispier cookies, bake for the longer end of the time range. Store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
