Description

Indulge in these delectable Banana Blondies – a quick, simple, and beginner-friendly recipe that delivers a moist and sweet treat.

Ingredients

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

– 1 cup brown sugar

– 2 large eggs

– 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2-3 medium bananas)

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon baking powder

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until combined.

3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the mashed bananas and vanilla extract.

4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

6. If using, fold in the chopped nuts.

7. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.

8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

9. Allow the Banana Blondies to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.

Notes

For a richer flavor, you can use dark brown sugar instead of light brown sugar. You can also add chocolate chips or other mix-ins to the batter.
