Ingredients
– 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour
– 1 tablespoon (12g) granulated sugar
– 1 teaspoon (5g) salt
– 1 package (7g) active dry yeast
– 1/2 cup (120ml) warm milk
– 1/4 cup (60g) unsalted butter, melted
– 2 large eggs, at room temperature
– 2 tablespoons (30ml) strong brewed coffee, cooled
Instructions
1. 1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
2. 2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the warm milk, melted butter, eggs, and coffee.
3. 3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a shaggy dough forms.
4. 4. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
5. 5. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
6. 6. Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a smooth ball.
7. 7. Place the dough balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes.
