Description

These Watermelon Fries with Lime Crema are a refreshing and unexpected appetizer that will delight your taste buds. Juicy watermelon is cut into fry shapes, coated, and baked until crisp, then drizzled with a tangy and creamy lime-infused sauce.

Ingredients

– 4 cups cubed watermelon, cut into fry shapes

– 1/2 cup sour cream

– 2 tablespoons lime juice

– 1 teaspoon lime zest

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. In a small bowl, mix together the sour cream, lime juice, lime zest, and salt to make the Lime Crema. Refrigerate until ready to use.

3. Arrange the watermelon fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

4. Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway, until the fries are lightly browned and crisp.

5. Remove the fries from the oven and transfer to a serving plate.

6. Drizzle the Lime Crema over the top of the fries and garnish with fresh mint leaves.

7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For a sweeter Lime Crema, you can add a teaspoon of honey or maple syrup. The fries can also be air-fried for a crispier texture.
