Description

These vegan buffalo cauliflower wings are a delicious, plant-based twist on the classic game-day appetizer. Crispy cauliflower florets are tossed in a spicy, tangy buffalo sauce for a guilt-free snack that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

– 1 head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets

– 1 cup all-purpose flour

– 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1 teaspoon onion powder

– 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

– 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 cup hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)

– 2 tablespoons vegan butter, melted

– 1 tablespoon maple syrup

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the flour, almond milk, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt until a smooth batter forms.

3. Dip the cauliflower florets into the batter, coating them evenly, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

4. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway, until the cauliflower is crispy and golden brown.

5. In a small bowl, whisk together the hot sauce, melted vegan butter, and maple syrup.

6. Toss the baked cauliflower florets with the buffalo sauce until they are evenly coated.

7. Serve the vegan buffalo cauliflower wings immediately, with your favorite dipping sauce or celery sticks on the side.

Notes

For a crispier texture, you can try air frying the battered cauliflower instead of baking. Adjust the cooking time as needed. You can also experiment with different hot sauce varieties to customize the heat level.
