Description

Discover the secrets to making delicious, classic Turkish Bread at home with this easy, foolproof recipe. Enjoy the soft, fluffy interior and golden-brown crust in just 20 minutes.

Ingredients

– 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon (5g) salt

– 1 teaspoon (5g) active dry yeast

– 1 1/4 cups (295ml) warm water

Instructions

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and yeast. Stir to mix.

2. Add the warm water and use a wooden spoon or your hands to mix until a shaggy dough forms.

3. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes, until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.

4. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let rise for 15 minutes.

5. Punch down the dough to release any air bubbles. Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces.

6. Roll each piece into a ball and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them apart.

7. Cover the dough balls with a clean towel and let rise for another 15 minutes.

8. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).

9. Bake the Turkish Bread for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown.

10. Remove from the oven and serve warm, with your favorite dips or toppings.

Notes

For a softer crust, brush the baked bread with melted butter or olive oil.
