This homemade Turkey Stuffing is a classic Thanksgiving side dish that’s easy to make and bursting with savory flavor. Featuring cubed bread, sautéed vegetables, and aromatic herbs, it’s the perfect accompaniment to your holiday turkey.
Ingredients
– 1 loaf day-old bread, cubed
– 1 onion, diced
– 2 celery stalks, diced
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter
– 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
– 1 teaspoon dried sage
– 1 teaspoon dried thyme
– 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
– Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. 2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and celery, and sauté for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are softened.
3. 3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute, until fragrant.
4. 4. In a large bowl, combine the sautéed vegetables, cubed bread, and the remaining ingredients. Stir until the mixture is well combined.
5. 5. Transfer the stuffing to a baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
6. 6. Serve the Turkey Stuffing hot, alongside your roasted turkey and other Thanksgiving sides.
Notes
For a moister stuffing, add an extra 1/4 cup of broth. You can also bake the stuffing inside the turkey cavity for added flavor.
