This classic Turkey Soup is the perfect cozy and comforting meal. It’s packed with tender turkey, fresh vegetables, and a flavorful broth, all ready in just 20 minutes.
Ingredients
– 1 lb turkey, cooked and shredded
– 4 cups chicken or turkey broth
– 2 carrots, peeled and sliced
– 2 celery stalks, chopped
– 1 onion, diced
– 2 garlic cloves, minced
– 1 tsp dried thyme
– 1 bay leaf
– Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. – In a large pot, combine the broth, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, thyme, and bay leaf.
2. – Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 10-15 minutes until vegetables are tender.
3. – Add the cooked, shredded turkey and season with salt and pepper to taste.
4. – Simmer for 5 more minutes to allow flavors to blend.
5. – Remove bay leaf before serving.
Notes
For a heartier soup, you can add cooked noodles or potatoes. This soup also freezes well for easy make-ahead meals.
