Description

These Turkey & Cranberry Sausage Rolls are a delightful blend of savory and sweet, featuring juicy ground turkey and tart cranberries wrapped in a flaky, buttery pastry crust. They’re the perfect homemade appetizer or snack for any occasion.


Ingredients

– 1 lb ground turkey

– 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries, chopped

– 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

– 1 egg, beaten

– 1 tsp dried sage

– 1 tsp salt

– 1/2 tsp black pepper

– 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed if frozen


Instructions

1. 1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. 2. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, chopped cranberries, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, sage, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

3. 3. Unfold the puff pastry sheet and cut it lengthwise into 4 equal strips.

4. 4. Place a line of the turkey and cranberry mixture along the center of each pastry strip.

5. 5. Fold the pastry over the filling and press the seam to seal. Cut each roll into 3-4 pieces.

6. 6. Place the sausage rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

7. 7. Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the filling is cooked through.

Notes

For a festive touch, you can brush the tops of the sausage rolls with a beaten egg before baking to achieve a shiny, golden-brown crust. These rolls can also be frozen before baking and baked straight from the freezer, adding a few extra minutes to the baking time.
