Description

Indulge in the irresistible combination of tender turkey, melty cheese, and flaky pastry with these homemade Turkey and Cheese Pinwheel Sandwiches. Perfect for a quick lunch, easy appetizer, or crowd-pleasing party snack.

Ingredients

– 1 (8 oz) package crescent roll dough

– 8 oz sliced turkey

– 8 oz shredded cheddar or Swiss cheese

– 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)

– 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and press the perforations to seal, forming a large rectangle.

3. Spread the Dijon mustard (if using) evenly over the dough.

4. Layer the sliced turkey and shredded cheese over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border on all sides.

5. Starting from the short side, tightly roll up the dough, creating a log.

6. Slice the log into 1-inch thick pinwheels and arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the pinwheels are golden brown.

8. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley (if using).

9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

These pinwheels can be made ahead and refrigerated or frozen for later. They also make a great on-the-go snack or lunchbox item.
