Description
Tallow-Fried Smash Sliders are the ultimate backyard BBQ or game day snack. These juicy, flavorful mini burgers come together in just 5 minutes with a few simple ingredients, making them a breeze to whip up for a crowd.
Ingredients
– 1 pound ground beef
– 2 tablespoons tallow or butter
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
– 12 slider buns
Instructions
1. Divide the ground beef into 12 equal portions and gently shape into small balls.
2. Heat a large cast-iron skillet or griddle over high heat. Add the tallow or butter and let it melt.
3. Place the beef balls onto the hot surface, spacing them apart. Use a sturdy spatula to firmly press down on each ball, smashing it into a thin patty.
4. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the edges are crispy and caramelized.
5. Transfer the smashed patties to the slider buns and serve immediately, topped with your favorite condiments.
Notes
For extra flavor, try adding a sprinkle of garlic powder or onion powder to the beef before smashing. You can also experiment with different cheese toppings.
