Description

This Sweet & Spicy Pickle Slaw is a vibrant and flavorful side dish that’s perfect for any occasion. Crunchy cabbage and carrots are tossed in a tangy, slightly spicy dressing made with pickles, vinegar, and a touch of sugar. It’s a quick and easy way to elevate any meal!

Ingredients

– 4 cups shredded green cabbage

– 1 cup shredded carrots

– 1 cup chopped dill pickles

– 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

– 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

– 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or to taste)

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage and carrots.

2. In a small bowl, whisk together the apple cider vinegar, sugar, red pepper flakes, and salt.

3. Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrots and toss to coat evenly.

4. Stir in the chopped dill pickles and mix until well combined.

5. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

6. Serve chilled or at room temperature as a side dish.

Notes

For a milder slaw, start with 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes and adjust to your desired level of spice. You can also customize the slaw by using different types of pickles, such as bread and butter or spicy chips. The slaw will keep in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
