Ingredients
– 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
– 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
– 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
– 1 teaspoon dried oregano
– 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
– Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper.
2. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Working in batches if needed, sear the steak cubes until browned on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per batch. Transfer the seared steak to a plate.
3. In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until opaque and cooked through. Transfer the shrimp to the plate with the steak.
4. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute, until fragrant.
5. Add the seared steak and shrimp back to the skillet and toss to coat everything in the garlic butter sauce.
6. Sprinkle with fresh parsley, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using).
7. Serve immediately, with toothpicks for easy dipping.
Notes
For a more decadent dish, you can use a combination of sirloin steak and filet mignon. The red pepper flakes add a nice kick of heat, but feel free to omit them if you prefer a milder flavor.
