Description

Sumac Onion Salad is a zesty and refreshing side dish that’s perfect for any occasion. Made with a tangy dressing and fresh ingredients, this salad is a delightful addition to your meal.

Ingredients

– 2 large red onions, thinly sliced

– 1/4 cup sumac powder

– 1/4 cup olive oil

– 2 tablespoons lemon juice

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

– 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, combine the sliced red onions and sumac powder. Toss to coat the onions evenly.

2. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.

3. Pour the dressing over the sumac-coated onions and toss to combine.

4. Let the salad sit for 10-15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

5. Just before serving, stir in the chopped fresh parsley.

Notes

This salad can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. The longer it sits, the more the flavors will develop. Adjust the amount of sumac or lemon juice to taste, depending on your preference.
