Ingredients
– 1 loaf of day-old bread, cubed
– 1 onion, diced
– 3 stalks of celery, diced
– 3 cloves of garlic, minced
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter
– 1 tablespoon fresh sage, chopped
– 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
– 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
Instructions
1. 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. 2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onions and celery and sauté for about 5-7 minutes, until softened.
3. 3. Add the garlic and continue cooking for 1 minute, until fragrant.
4. 4. In a large bowl, combine the sautéed vegetables, bread cubes, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper. Gently toss to mix.
5. 5. Slowly pour in the broth, mixing gently until the bread is evenly moistened.
6. 6. Transfer the stuffing mixture to a baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.

Notes
For a more moist stuffing, add an extra 1/4 cup of broth. You can also customize the herbs and seasonings to your liking.
