Description

Indulge in the creamy, cheesy goodness of Steak Queso Rice! This quick and easy one-pot meal is packed with flavor, featuring tender steak, melted queso, and aromatic rice. It’s the perfect weeknight dinner that comes together in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

– 1 lb flank steak, cut into bite-sized pieces

– 1 cup long-grain white rice

– 1 cup beef broth

– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

– 1/2 cup diced onion

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 tsp chili powder

– 1/2 tsp cumin

– Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. – In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of oil over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for 3-4 minutes, until browned on all sides.

2. – Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, until fragrant.

3. – Stir in the rice, chili powder, cumin, and beef broth. Bring the mixture to a boil.

4. – Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.

5. – Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and well combined.

6. – Season with salt and pepper to taste.

7. – Serve hot, garnished with your favorite toppings like diced tomatoes, sliced avocado, or chopped cilantro.

Notes

This dish can be easily customized to your taste. Try adding diced bell peppers, sliced jalapeños, or a dollop of sour cream on top. For a spicier version, increase the chili powder or add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
