Description

Celebrate the arrival of spring with this moist, flavorful Spring Birthday Cake. Perfectly moist and packed with delicious flavors, this easy-to-make cake is the perfect centerpiece for any spring birthday party or special occasion.

Ingredients

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 2 teaspoons baking powder

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

– 3 large eggs

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1 cup whole milk

– Frosting of your choice (e.g., buttercream, cream cheese, or whipped cream)

– Fresh flowers, berries, or other decorations (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

3. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

5. Alternate adding the flour mixture and milk to the butter mixture, mixing just until combined after each addition.

6. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans.

7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

8. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove from the pans and let cool completely on a wire rack.

9. Once the cakes are cool, frost with your desired frosting. Decorate with fresh flowers, berries, or other toppings as desired.

Notes

– For an extra moist cake, you can substitute 1/2 cup of the milk with sour cream or plain yogurt.

– Try adding lemon or orange zest to the batter for a bright, citrusy flavor.

– Refrigerate any leftover cake for up to 5 days.
