Spicy Dragon Chicken is a delicious and flavorful Asian-inspired dish that’s perfect for a quick and easy weeknight meal. Tender chicken is coated in a bold, spicy sauce made with soy sauce, rice vinegar, and chili garlic sauce, then garnished with fresh green onions and sesame seeds.
Ingredients
– 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
– 2 tablespoons soy sauce
– 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
– 2 tablespoons chili garlic sauce
– 2 tablespoons brown sugar
– 2 teaspoons sesame oil
– 3 green onions, sliced
– 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions
1. In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat.
2. Add the chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is lightly browned and cooked through.
3. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, chili garlic sauce, and brown sugar.
4. Add the sauce to the skillet with the chicken and stir to coat the chicken evenly.
5. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce has thickened slightly.
6. Remove from heat and stir in the sesame oil, green onions, and sesame seeds.
7. Serve the Spicy Dragon Chicken immediately, over steamed rice or noodles.
Notes
For a milder version, reduce the amount of chili garlic sauce. You can also add a splash of water or chicken broth to the sauce if it becomes too thick. The Spicy Dragon Chicken can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
