Description

Indulge in the classic Southern Pecan Pie, a rich and buttery dessert with a gooey, caramelized filling and a flaky crust. This recipe delivers restaurant-quality results in just 45 minutes.

Ingredients

– 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust

– 3 large eggs

– 1 cup light corn syrup

– 1 cup granulated sugar

– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 1 1/2 cups pecan halves

Instructions

1. 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

2. 2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and salt until well combined.

3. 3. Spread the pecan halves evenly in the unbaked pie crust.

4. 4. Pour the egg mixture over the pecans, making sure to cover them completely.

5. 5. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the center is just set. The pie should still have a slight jiggle in the center.

6. 6. Allow the pie to cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark corn syrup instead of light. You can also add a sprinkle of cinnamon or a touch of bourbon to the filling.
