Ingredients

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon baking soda

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 cup chopped dill pickles

– 1/4 cup pickle juice

– 1 cup sourdough starter

– 1/4 cup olive oil

– 1 egg


Instructions

1. – Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. – In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.

3. – Add the chopped pickles, pickle juice, sourdough starter, olive oil, and egg. Stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

4. – Pour the batter into a greased 9×5-inch loaf pan.

5. – Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

6. – Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

– For extra flavor, try adding grated cheese, diced onions, or fresh herbs to the batter.

– Sourdough starter can be replaced with buttermilk or plain yogurt if desired.
