Ingredients
– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 teaspoon baking powder
– 1 cup sourdough discard
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
– 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder.
3. Add the sourdough discard and stir until a shaggy dough forms. Knead the dough for 2-3 minutes until smooth.
4. Roll the dough out into a 12×18 inch rectangle. Cut the dough into 12 even squares.
5. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic, and parsley.
6. Place the dough squares into the prepared baking dish, overlapping them slightly. Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over the top.
7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the bread is cooked through.
8. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese (if using). Serve warm.

– For an extra crispy top, broil the bread for 1-2 minutes after baking.
