Description

Tender smoked brisket and melty beer cheese wrapped in fluffy pretzel dough – these Smoked Brisket & Beer Cheese Pretzel Bombs are the ultimate party appetizer! Quick, easy, and always a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

– 1 lb smoked brisket, chopped

– 8 oz cream cheese, softened

– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

– 1/2 cup beer

– 1 tsp garlic powder

– 1 tsp onion powder

– 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated pizza dough

– 1 egg, beaten

– Coarse sea salt, for sprinkling

Instructions

1. – Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. – In a medium bowl, mix together the chopped brisket, cream cheese, cheddar, beer, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.

3. – On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle, about 12×16 inches.

4. – Scoop heaping tablespoons of the brisket mixture onto the dough, spacing them a few inches apart.

5. – Fold the dough over the filling and pinch to seal. Cut into squares around the mounds of filling.

6. – Place the pretzel bombs seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.

7. – Bake for 18-22 minutes until deep golden brown. Serve warm.

Notes

– For extra flavor, use a stronger ale or stout in the beer cheese filling.

– Swap in different cheeses like pepper jack or smoked gouda.

– Make ahead and freeze the unbaked pretzel bombs for up to 3 months. Bake straight from frozen, adding a few extra minutes.
