Description

Sausage Baked Brie is an easy, cheesy appetizer that’s ready in just 20 minutes. Savory sausage wrapped around melted brie cheese makes for an irresistible party snack or holiday treat.


Ingredients

– 1 (8 oz) wheel of brie cheese

– 1 lb ground Italian sausage

– 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed

– 1 egg, beaten


Instructions

1. – Preheat oven to 400°F.

2. – In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through, 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.

3. – Place the brie wheel in the center of the puff pastry sheet. Top with the cooked sausage, pressing it gently to adhere.

4. – Fold the puff pastry over the sausage-wrapped brie, pressing to seal the edges.

5. – Place the wrapped brie seam-side down on a baking sheet. Brush the top with the beaten egg.

6. – Bake for 20-25 minutes until the pastry is golden brown.

7. – Let cool for 5 minutes before serving with crackers, bread, or fruit.

Notes

For a festive touch, you can add dried cranberries or chopped rosemary to the sausage mixture. Baked brie can be made ahead and refrigerated until ready to bake.
