Description

Indulge in the rich, spiced warmth of this classic Russian Tea recipe. Made with black tea, fragrant citrus, and aromatic spices, this easy-to-prepare beverage is perfect for chilly days and cozy gatherings.


Ingredients

– 6 black tea bags

– 6 cups water

– 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)

– 1/2 cup granulated sugar

– 1 cinnamon stick

– 6 whole cloves


Instructions

1. Bring the water to a boil in a large saucepan.

2. Add the black tea bags and steep for 5-7 minutes.

3. Remove the tea bags and stir in the lemon juice and sugar until the sugar has dissolved.

4. Add the cinnamon stick and cloves, and let the tea simmer for an additional 5 minutes to infuse the flavors.

5. Serve the Russian Tea hot, garnished with a lemon slice and cinnamon stick.

Notes

For a sweeter tea, add additional sugar to taste. You can also experiment with different spice combinations, such as adding a few cardamom pods or a star anise. The tea can be refrigerated for up to 1 week and reheated as needed.
