Ingredients
– 2 cups heavy cream
– 2 cups whole milk
– 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
– 1/4 cup granulated sugar
– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together the heavy cream and milk over medium heat.
2. Once the mixture is hot, gradually whisk in the flour, stirring constantly to prevent lumps.
3. Continue cooking and stirring until the porridge thickens to your desired consistency, about 3-5 minutes.
4. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar and cinnamon until well combined.
5. Serve the Rømmegrøt warm, with additional cinnamon or whipped cream as desired.
Notes
For a richer, creamier porridge, you can use all heavy cream instead of a milk and cream mixture. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
