Description

Transform flaky puff pastry into delightful, bite-sized pizza roses that are perfect for parties, movie nights, or any occasion. These easy-to-make appetizers combine the classic flavors of pizza with the elegance of a rose-shaped presentation.

Ingredients

– 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed

– 1/2 cup tomato sauce

– 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

– 1 teaspoon dried oregano

– 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

– Pinch of salt

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. Unfold the puff pastry sheet and cut it into 6 equal strips, each about 1-inch wide.

3. Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce onto each strip, leaving a 1/2-inch border at the top.

4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese, oregano, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt over the tomato sauce.

5. Starting from the bottom, tightly roll each strip into a spiral, creating a rose shape.

6. Place the pizza roses, seam-side down, on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

7. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

8. Serve the Pizza Roses warm, garnished with additional oregano or basil if desired.

Notes

For a deeper pizza flavor, you can add pepperoni, sliced olives, or other desired toppings to the filling. These Pizza Roses can also be made ahead and frozen, then baked straight from the freezer when ready to serve.
