Description

These Piped Chocolate Butter Cookies are a decadent and easy-to-make treat that will delight your taste buds. With their rich chocolate flavor and delicate, buttery texture, they’re perfect for any occasion, from holiday gatherings to casual get-togethers.

Ingredients

– 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened

– 1 cup granulated sugar

– 1 egg

– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.

6. Scoop the dough into a piping bag fitted with a large star tip.

7. Pipe the dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, forming 1-inch wide cookies.

8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cookies are set and the edges are lightly browned.

9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a more festive look, you can roll the dough into balls and coat them in sanding sugar before baking. You can also dip the cooled cookies in melted chocolate or drizzle them with a chocolate glaze.
