Description

Crispy, flaky Oven Fried Feta Rolls are filled with creamy feta cheese and drizzled with a sweet and spicy chili honey sauce. This quick and easy appetizer is perfect for parties, game days, or anytime you need a delicious snack.

Ingredients

– 8 oz feta cheese, crumbled

– 8 sheets phyllo dough

– 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

– 1/4 cup honey

– 1 tsp chili flakes

– 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

– 1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped

Instructions

1. 1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. 2. In a small bowl, combine the crumbled feta cheese.

3. 3. Place one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean work surface. Brush the dough with melted butter. Top with a second sheet of phyllo and brush with more butter.

4. 4. Cut the layered phyllo into 4 equal rectangles. Place about 2 tbsp of the feta cheese mixture onto the center of each rectangle. Fold the phyllo over the filling, then roll up tightly to form a small log.

5. 5. Transfer the feta rolls to the prepared baking sheet, seam-side down.

6. 6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the phyllo is golden brown and crispy.

7. 7. In a small bowl, stir together the honey and chili flakes.

8. 8. Drizzle the chili honey over the warm feta rolls and garnish with chopped parsley and thyme.

9. 9. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.

Notes

For best results, work with one sheet of phyllo dough at a time, keeping the remaining sheets covered to prevent drying out. The chili honey can be made ahead of time and stored in an airtight container. Feel free to adjust the amount of chili flakes to suit your spice preference.
