Description

This Oat and Chia Bread is a delightful and nutritious homemade loaf that’s quick and easy to make. Packed with wholesome ingredients like rolled oats and chia seeds, it boasts a tender, moist crumb and a delicate, nutty flavor.

Ingredients

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 cup rolled oats

– 1/4 cup chia seeds

– 1 tablespoon baking powder

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1 cup milk

– 1/4 cup honey

– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, rolled oats, chia seeds, baking powder, and salt. Stir to mix well.

3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, honey, and melted butter.

4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir just until combined, being careful not to overmix.

5. Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.

6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

7. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

– For a heartier texture, you can substitute up to 1/2 cup of the all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour.

– Experiment with different mix-ins like raisins, nuts, or dried cranberries for added flavor and texture.

– This bread is delicious on its own, toasted, or served with your favorite spreads like butter, jam, or honey.
