Description
Indulge in the ultimate Nutella Baklava – a quick and easy version of this classic Greek dessert. Perfectly flaky layers of phyllo dough are filled with a rich, nutty Nutella spread, creating an irresistible treat.
Ingredients
– 1 package (16 oz) phyllo dough, thawed
– 1 cup (240g) Nutella
– 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, melted
– 1/2 cup (60g) chopped hazelnuts
– 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. Unroll the phyllo dough and cut the sheets in half to fit the baking dish.
3. Layer 8 sheets of phyllo dough in the prepared baking dish, brushing each layer with melted butter.
4. Spread 1/2 cup of Nutella evenly over the phyllo layers.
5. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of chopped hazelnuts over the Nutella.
6. Repeat the layers of 8 phyllo sheets, Nutella, and hazelnuts until all the ingredients are used up, ending with a layer of phyllo dough.
7. Brush the top layer of phyllo with the remaining melted butter and sprinkle with the granulated sugar.
8. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
9. Allow the baklava to cool completely before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, you can use a combination of Nutella and chopped dark chocolate. Leftover baklava can be stored at room temperature for up to 5 days.
