This mouthwatering Korean beef recipe is packed with bold, savory-sweet flavors and comes together in just 30 minutes. It’s a quick and easy weeknight dinner that the whole family will love.
Ingredients
– 1 lb ground beef
– 1/4 cup soy sauce
– 2 tbsp brown sugar
– 2 tbsp sesame oil
– 2 tbsp rice vinegar
– 1 tbsp grated ginger
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
– 2 green onions, sliced
– Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
1. – In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned and crumbled, 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
2. – Add the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, rice vinegar, ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine.
3. – Reduce heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
4. – Remove from heat and stir in the sliced green onions.
5. – Serve the Korean beef over rice, in lettuce wraps, or with your favorite sides. Garnish with sesame seeds.
Notes
For a spicier dish, add more red pepper flakes. You can also swap in ground turkey or chicken for the beef. Leftovers keep well in the fridge for up to 4 days.
