Description

Enjoy the bold and tantalizing flavors of the Middle East with this easy Zaatar Yogurt Chicken recipe. Tender chicken breasts are marinated in a tangy yogurt and zaatar spice mixture, then baked to perfection for a juicy, flavorful main dish.

Ingredients

– 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts

– 1 cup plain Greek yogurt

– 2 tablespoons zaatar spice blend

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

– 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

– 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, combine the yogurt, zaatar spice, garlic, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken breasts and toss to coat evenly.

2. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the chicken for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours, to allow the flavors to develop.

3. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

4. Transfer the marinated chicken to a baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

5. Drizzle the chicken with the fresh lemon juice and sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

This dish pairs well with a fresh green salad, roasted vegetables, or warm pita bread. For extra flavor, you can also add a sprinkle of additional zaatar spice blend on top of the chicken before baking.
