Description

Indulge in the irresistible combination of sweet, spicy, and crunchy with these Mexican Hot Cocoa Spiced Nuts. This easy, 5-minute recipe transforms roasted nuts into a mouthwatering, restaurant-quality snack that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

– 2 cups mixed nuts (such as almonds, pecans, and cashews)

– 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

– 1/4 cup granulated sugar

– 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or more, to taste)

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. In a large bowl, combine the mixed nuts, cocoa powder, cinnamon, sugar, cayenne pepper, and salt. Toss the ingredients together until the nuts are evenly coated.

3. Spread the coated nuts in a single layer on a baking sheet.

4. Roast the nuts in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, stirring halfway, until fragrant and lightly toasted.

5. Remove the nuts from the oven and let them cool completely before serving.

Notes

– For a sweeter flavor, increase the sugar to 1/3 cup.

– Adjust the cayenne pepper to your desired level of heat.

– Store the cooled nuts in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
