Description

Discover the secret to making traditional, foolproof Mango Sticky Rice at home in just 10 minutes. This beloved Thai dessert is a delightful combination of creamy, coconut-infused sticky rice and juicy, sweet mango slices.

Ingredients

– 1 cup short-grain sticky rice, soaked for 30 minutes

– 1 cup coconut milk

– 1/4 cup white sugar

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and sliced

Instructions

1. In a saucepan, combine the soaked sticky rice, coconut milk, sugar, and salt. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently.

2. Once the mixture starts to thicken, reduce the heat to low and continue cooking for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.

3. Remove the pan from the heat and let the sticky rice cool for 5 minutes.

4. Serve the warm sticky rice in bowls or on plates, topped with the fresh mango slices.

Notes

For best results, use ripe and sweet mangoes. You can also garnish the dish with toasted coconut flakes or a drizzle of coconut milk.
