Description

Indulge in the ultimate breakfast treat with these Loaded Hashbrowns! Crispy, golden-brown potatoes are topped with melted cheese, crumbled bacon, and fresh chives for a savory and satisfying dish that’s perfect for any morning.

Ingredients

– 4 medium russet potatoes, shredded

– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

– 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

– 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

– 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

1. 1. Shred the potatoes using a box grater or food processor.

2. 2. Squeeze out any excess moisture from the shredded potatoes using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.

3. 3. In a large bowl, combine the shredded potatoes, cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, chives, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

4. 4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

5. 5. Scoop heaping 1/4 cup portions of the potato mixture and flatten them into patties.

6. 6. Carefully place the hashbrown patties in the hot oil and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.

7. 7. Drain the cooked hashbrowns on a paper towel-lined plate.

8. 8. Serve the Loaded Hashbrowns hot, garnished with additional chives if desired.

Notes

For extra crispiness, you can bake the hashbrowns in the oven at 400°F for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through. You can also experiment with different cheese varieties or add other toppings like diced onions or bell peppers.
