These Keto Philly Cheesesteak Roll Ups are a delicious low-carb twist on a classic sandwich. Tender beef, melty cheese, and savory flavors wrapped up in a perfect portable package.
Ingredients
– 1 lb. ground beef
– 1 green bell pepper, sliced
– 1 onion, sliced
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tsp. dried oregano
– 1 tsp. salt
– 1/2 tsp. black pepper
– 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
– 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
– 8 large lettuce leaves
Instructions
1. – Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. – In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef, bell pepper, onion, and garlic until beef is browned and vegetables are tender, 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
3. – Stir in the oregano, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
4. – In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese and provolone until well combined.
5. – Lay a lettuce leaf flat and spread 2-3 tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture down the center. Top with 2-3 tablespoons of the beef mixture.
6. – Tightly roll up the lettuce leaf around the filling and place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
7. – Repeat with remaining ingredients.
8. – Bake for 10-12 minutes, until heated through and cheese is melted.
9. – Serve immediately.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add sautéed mushrooms or use a spicy pepper jack cheese. These roll ups can also be made ahead and refrigerated until ready to bake.
