Ingredients
– 1 cup all-purpose flour
– 1/2 cup granulated sugar
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cubed
– 1/2 cup sliced almonds
– 1 tsp baking powder
– 1/4 tsp salt
– 1 cup fresh or frozen blackberries
– 1 egg
– 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
1. – Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease an 8-inch square baking dish.
2. – In a medium bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in the butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the sliced almonds.
3. – In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.
4. – Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir just until combined.
5. – Gently fold in the blackberries.
6. – Spread the batter into the prepared baking dish.
