Ingredients

– 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1 teaspoon instant yeast

– 1 cup (240ml) warm water

– 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar

– 4 tablespoons (57g) unsalted butter, melted

– 1 cup (320g) your favorite jam (such as strawberry or raspberry)

– Powdered sugar for dusting


Instructions

1. – In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and instant yeast.

2. – Add the warm water and melted butter, and knead the dough until it becomes smooth and elastic, about 5-7 minutes.

3. – Cover the dough and let it rise for 30 minutes, or until doubled in size.

4. – Punch down the dough to release any air bubbles, then divide it into 12 equal pieces.

5. – Roll each piece into a small ball, then use your thumb to make an indent in the center, creating a well for the jam.

6. – Fill each well with approximately 2 tablespoons of your favorite jam.

7. – Place the filled buns on a parchment-lined baking sheet, cover, and let them rise for an additional 20 minutes.

8. – Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

9. – Bake the Jam Donut Focaccia for 18-20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.

10. – Remove from the oven and immediately dust with powdered sugar.
