Description

Indulge in the rich, velvety goodness of homemade Hot Buttered Rum. This comforting cocktail combines the warmth of spiced rum with the creaminess of butter and brown sugar, creating the ultimate winter warmer.


Ingredients

– 2 cups dark rum

– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 1 cup packed brown sugar

– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

– 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

– 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

– Pinch of salt

– Boiling water

– Cinnamon sticks, for garnish


Instructions

1. In a medium bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until well combined.

2. Add the cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt, and mix until fully incorporated.

3. In a mug or heatproof glass, add 2-3 tablespoons of the butter mixture.

4. Pour in 1/2 cup of dark rum and top with boiling water, stirring gently to combine.

5. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and enjoy your cozy Hot Buttered Rum!

Notes

For a stronger flavor, use 3-4 tablespoons of the butter mixture. You can also make the butter mixture in advance and keep it refrigerated for up to 1 week. Simply scoop out the desired amount when ready to make your drinks.
